Ingredients for Louisianna Crawfish Dip

mayo, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, horseradish, and creole seasoning for crawfish dip

Use these simple ingredients to make a delicious sauce for your Louisiana crawfish tails:

  • Mayonaise – I definitely recommend sticking with mayonnaise and not miracle whip.
  • Ketchup – Not much to say about this – just plain ol’ ketchup.
  • Horseradish – Using prepared horseradish in this dip adds a little kick to it. The more you add, the tangier and spicier it will get.
  • Creole Seasoning – My favorite pre-mixed cajun seasoning blends to grab at the grocery store are Tony Chachere’s, Nunus, or Slap Ya Mama. You can also make your own homemade cajun seasoning blend if you have a few basic pantry seasonings.
  • Worcestershire Sauce – You’ll just need a few splashes for this dish.
  • Hot Sauce (Optional) – Sometimes I like to add a few splashes of my favorite hot sauce to this cajun sauce. It adds a little extra spice and tanginess.

How to Make Cajun Dipping Sauce

First, combine mayonnaise and ketchup in a large bowl that has a lid. If you’re making a small batch of dip, use a small or medium bowl instead.

Then add in the following ingredients, horseradish, Cajun seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce.

Mix it all together well. Let sit in the fridge to cool for at least an hour or so.

You can also mix up the day before and store overnight.

Now you have a delicious sauce for your crawfish tail meat!

Leftover sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 5 days.

What Else to Use Crawfish Dip With

While you can use this with all of your favorite seafood boil recipes, it also goes well with fried seafood. Fried crawfish tails, fish, and shrimp all taste wonderful dipped in this sauce!
