Bible Study Gifts for Christian Women

For Growing in Knowledge

New journaling or interleaved bible

I love adding my study notes directly to my Bible so that I can see them every time I read the scriptures. You can definitely do this in a regular Bible, but having wide margins or an entire page for notes is definitely helpful.

Here are my top selections for someone who loves Bible journaling or takes lots of Bible study notes:

  • ESV Journaling Bible – Interleaved Edition – I personally use this Bible and love it. Every other page is completely blank allowing adequate space for all of my Bible study notes.
  • CSB Illustrating Bible – Spiral Bound – This Bible is so beautiful in design and has HUGE margins for note taking. One thing to note when selecting a journaling Bible is font size. If you’re buying for someone who needs larger font, this probably isn’t a good choice.
  • KJV Notetaking Bible – Large Print: This Bible is so beautiful and practical. Each page has a lined note taking section alongside a column of scripture in a large font.

New Study Bible

A study Bible includes extra helpful information when it comes to understanding the scriptures. You can get study Bibles in all translations and with a wide range of commentary authors.

  • CSB Study Bible – I have used this study Bible for almost 10 years and I love it. The notes at the bottom are just enough to give me insight into those passages I’m struggling to understand. It is packed with cross references, definitions, and timelines.
  • ESV Study Bible – This study Bible contains 20,000 study notes, 80,000 cross-references, 200+ charts and so much more.

Commentary or Bible Dictionary

This may seem like an odd thing to gift, but for someone who truly loves diving deep into God’s Word, a resource like this is an amazing gift! There are so many commentaries out there to choose from, which can make it a little difficult to choose one for another person. But here are a few that I have either personally used or have had recommended to me by close friends:

Bible Study Guides

A new Bible study book is another excellent gift idea – and there is no shortage of study guides to choose from out there. You can purchase individual books or compelte sets with a video component. Here are a few of my top picks for growing in understanding of God’s truth that would make a wonderful gift.

  • Seamless by Angie Smith – This study guide is PERFECT for new believers or anyone who is new to studying the Bible. The reader will walk away with a much deeper understanding of the storyline of the Bible.
  • Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin – A great guide for anyone interested in studying God’s Word but doesn’t know where or how to start.

Faith Planner

I love a practical gift. And this Faith Planner from Hopefuel is the perfect way to combine practicality with beauty for a woman of faith. The undated weekly planner provides a space for weekly devotional space to use during your quiet time. It has a monthly prayer list and monthly scripture memory section.

This is also an undated daily faith planner with plenty of open space for daily spiritual reflections. And the best part of all? You’re supporting a small Christian owned business when you shop from companies like this!

A nice journal for notetaking or writing out prayers is another great open ended gift idea for your Christian friend. I love these spiral bound journals with Bible verses on the front for a budget friendly option.

Devotional Books

While a devotional isn’t technically the same as studying the Bible, they still make wonderful gifts for someone who enjoys spending time in God’s Word. See if you can find out your friends favorite Christian author and search to see if they have a devotional. If you’re just looking for some recommendations for devotional style books, here are a few I would suggest:

Fun & Practical

Bible Case

A Bible case goes a little beyond typical Bible covers. It includes pockets and pouches perfect for storing all of your favorite study supplies. I especially love the options that come with a should strap!

Bible Cover with Stand

This is such a neat Bible cover. It has a built-in stand, perfect for holding your Bible in an easy to read, upright position. Also comes with elastic bookmarks and plenty of storage for your pens and notebooks.

Bible Verse Tote Bag

When it comes to Bible study, there are a lot of supplemental resources like commentaries and dictionaries. A new tote bag for your friend to store everything together (or take on the go) is perfect! Get a cute canvas bag with a favorite Bible verse on the side for a great price. If you have a slightly higher budget, consider you could go with a more structured tote with a lot of pockets.

Bible Tabs

This is another great gift idea if you’re looking at buying for a lot of women at one time. Bible tabs can be bought in a huge range of designs and colors, and you can usually get them for less than $10 a pack. These also make an excellent stocking stuffer for the Christmas season!

Bible Study Gift Basket

Creating a basket loaded with Bible study goodies is one of my favorite gift ideas! You can pack in any combination of the above mentioned items into a beautiful gift basket. A new Bible study, a devotional, a journal and some new pens are sure to be well loved.

If you need some filler items for your basket, think about things like cozy socks, some baked goodies and coffee mugs (or water bottle for the non-coffee drinkers) are a fun way to customize the basket to the different styles of each recipient!
