It is almost Fall! And if you look at any number of posts on my blog, you’ll quickly see that I am a huge fan of celebrating changing seasons. I think I owe that to Anne of Green Gables…
But Fall has a special place in my heart. I love the changing colors, the warm smells that come with baked Autumn goods, and the (hope) of cooler weather.
I also love that it seems to be a season where most of us want to slow down and be more intentional about “Giving Thanks”. Which is why I’ve been working on some free printable gratitude worksheets to assist you in that!
Today’s free printable journal worksheets are a bit different though. They are made to be used by anyone, not just someone who wants to write out a journal entry. You can grab your free printables down below, but first, let’s chat about the best way to use them to develop an attitude of gratitude in your home.

Why You Should Practice Gratitude with Kids
Just like every other habit in life, the habit of gratefulness must be cultivated. When kids get in the habit of jotting down what makes them smile, they start to recognize the blessings in their lives.
Gratitude journaling with kids is fun way for them to notice and celebrate the good things happening around them. Everything from awesome ice cream flavors to funny moments with friends.
Plus, it’s a great way for families to connect and share a few laughs together. Who knew being thankful could be so much fun?
Using Your Free Gratitude Journal Printables
The printables found here are meant to inspire creativity during the process of giving thanks. That’s why I’ve kept the design simple, without color.
Each frame is designed for one entry on something or someone you are grateful for. You can do this daily, weekly, or complete the page all at once. If you’re looking for some prompts, I’ve listed some down below!
Like I mentioned above, these printables are meant to be used by anyone, of any age. Here’s how!
Gratitude with Young Kids
If your kids are very young this printable is perfect for them! That’s because the entry sections are unlined, making it perfect for drawing a picture instead of writing.
Once your kids are done drawing, you can always ask if there is anything they would like for you to write for them.
Gratitude with Older Kids
Now, if your children are a bit older and able to write out their gratitude entries, they can still use this same printable.
Instead of drawing in each frame, they can simply write out what it is they are thankful for. Or they could do a combination of drawing and writing.
Get Creative!
My favorite part of this minimalist design is that it allows for a little creative freedom. The background and frames can be colored to add some individuality to each page.
So maybe you’re not a kid at all – but you are creative and love a journal page that allows you to express that. If so, I hope you’ll also find this printable useful!
Fun Gratitude Journaling Supplies
Set your kids up to love the process of gratitude journaling by providing them with some fun supplies!
- Get Colorful – A fresh set of colored pencils may inspire your kids to really get creative in their drawings and coloring.
