Let’s be honest—life gets busy. Between homeschooling, laundry, meals, and everything in between, it’s so easy for prayer requests to slip through the cracks. You hear a need from a friend at church or during small group, nod with all the best intentions to pray… and then days go by and you realize you completely forgot. (Been there? Me too.)

That’s exactly why I created this free printable prayer request tracker. It’s a simple, beautiful way to stay on top of the specific prayer requests people entrust us with.

Whether you’re taking prayer requests in a small group setting or jotting down something a family member shared over dinner, this printable will serve as a reminder, so you can pray faithfully for those you love.

What’s in the Prayer Request Tracker?

This PDF file includes a 2 free printable prayer journal pages. You can take your pick of which layout works best.

Each design includes space where you can write down the name of the person you’re praying for and their need. There’s plenty of room to get specific with each request. There is also a third space to write down updates, such as answered prayers or changing needs.

If you use a prayer binder, this page fits perfectly! Just print a few copies, pop them into your binder, and you’ve got an instant system to keep track of prayer requests. You can also print and hang one on the fridge or keep it folded in your Bible.

Creative Ways to Use Your Prayer Tracker

  • Use it during your quiet time to guide your prayers.
  • Keep one page for each day of the week, or assign a different category to each page (like “Family,” “Church,” “Friends,” “Missions,” etc.).
  • Bring it to your Bible study or small group and add requests as you hear them.
  • Review your list weekly or monthly to check in on answered prayers and updates.
  • Use it as a way to follow up—how encouraging is it when someone says, “Hey, I’ve been praying for your mom—how is she doing?”

It’s such a great way to stay connected and show others that their needs matter—not just to you, but to the Lord.

Start Building a Meaningful Prayer Life

Having a prayer life is critical in the life of a Christian, but we sometimes have a tendency to over-complicate it. So here are some simple tips to consistently pray into your daily life.

  1. Small and consistent is okay. In fact, I think it is better to have 10 minutes of prayer daily than to wait until you can get a large chunk of time (that may never happen) to sit down and pray.
  2. Pray all day. You don’t have to be sitting down with your prayer journal and in a quiet place to pray. Sure, those times are beautiful and wonderful, but God is accessible all day. And I find that when I speak to God throughout the day, I crave that one-on-one prayer time with Him more.
  3. Set a specific time, if possible. Having a specific time set apart for prayer is wonderful. This can be early morning, before bed, while kids are napping, in the school pickup line.
